LAZOO wall decals
Lazoo Wall Decals are an easy way to redecorate or spruce up a room! They are self-adhesive, pre-cut, reusable, repositionable & made in the USA! We chose the Lazoo Boy Theme wall decal which included 40 decals. I let the boys choose the decals they wanted to decorate their individual closets. The robots, dinosaurs and planes were a hit! We still have more decals to redecorate the closets in a few months. The boys love their newly decorated closets and I often find them narrating a story based on the scene they created. There are 5 themes to choose from: Lazoo Growth Chart, Lazoo Girl Theme, Lazoo Boy Theme, Lazoo Alphabet & Lazoo Character. The decals range in price from $14.49-$18.99 ; an inexpensive way to update your décor!

Ready, Set, Glow...Reveal!! #DisneyPaintMom
*Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post written as part of a MomTrends blog campaign with Glidden, Disney and Walmart.
The Ready, Set, Glow room transformation was a huge success and “T” couldn’t wait to invite his friends over for the “big reveal”. The paint was dry, the orbits & planets were labeled, the mirrored stars and glow in the dark wall decals were all in place and it was show time.
We decided to have a pajama party to show off his new room so that everyone would be able to see the Glow in the Dark features at nighttime. We created an intergalactic menu of Green alien cupcakes (Key Lime flavored), Tutti Frutti Alien Punch (Hawaiian Punch green berry rush with kiwis, strawberries & blueberries), Planet Pizza & Galactic Popcorn. We baked the cupcakes and “T” & “L” decorated them with key lime frosting, black icing, and candy covered peanuts & fruit strings. “T” helped cut up fresh fruit to add to the Alien Punch and we popped popcorn to munch while we watched Toy Story. We packed mini goody bags with Toy Story fruit snacks, light up balls and Toy Story spinning tops.
Our first guest was Mr. Buzz Lightyear (a giant 5 foot tall gliding balloon): we let him float around the room to meet & greet our guests upon arrival. The guests arrived and everyone posed for pictures with Buzz. We ate pizza and had popcorn while watching Toy Story before we headed to see the Ready, Set, Glow ceiling creation. I went into the room first and had everyone come in before I turned out the lights. I told everyone to look up; as soon as the lights went out I began blowing Glow in the Dark bubbles from the machine I found at Walmart. The bubble show was a hit, when all the bubbles had popped, everyone focused on the ceiling to see the orbits and planets all lit up. The room was filled with “Ooooh’s and Aaaah’s” from both the children and adults. Everyone was amazed and impressed by the glow in the dark solar system on the ceiling and wanted to hear how we did it. The parents were excited to learn how simple it was and that the Disney Paint came in so many colors & finishes.
After the reveal, we returned to the living room, where the children were able to decorate their own white T-shirts with both neon and glow in the dark fabric paints while eating their Alien cupcakes. The children and adults raved about the room and I explained how we created the orbits and even showed them the can of Disney Ready, Set, Glow paint we used for the glow in the dark effect. Our pajama party guests had a great time eating, drinking, watching, crafting, playing and viewing. Next time we will definitely have to have a sleepover where the kids can truly enjoy the solar system by naming the planets and counting the stars in the dark before drifting off to sleep.
"T” loves the planets and insists that we have to spell out the name of each planet as our next project. The Disney paint was easy to use and I am definitely planning a few more redecorating projects where I can utilize it…hopefully Mommy’s room will be next!

Glow Painting #DisneyPaintMom
The current theme in my son's room is a neutral Safari theme and he has been begging to change it up. We decided to choose the Ready, Set, Glow Disney paint (exclusively sold at Walmart) and add a Buzz Lightyear space theme to his space. "T" and I talked about all the possibilities to incorporate Buzz and space into his room; "T"'s ideas were far fetched and over the top and he had to be reminded that this was redecorating NOT remodeling. My husband had a great idea of painting the solar system on the ceiling, complete with orbits, planets and stars using the ceiling light fixture as the sun. We finally decided that we would paint the solar system on the ceiling using the Ready, Set, Glow paint & the All that Glitters paint: easier said than done. First, I was unable to find stencils of the solar system to use to paint our planets, so I turned to the Internet and finally found a printable mobile I could use here. I printed the mobile on cardstock and cut them out to use for stencils. Some of the planets were too small, so I replaced and created my own set. Next, I was stumped as to how we were going to make "perfect" orbits on the ceiling; my husband suggested that we tie a string to the center light fixture and the other end to a pencil...worked perfectly. We set up the step ladder and hubby began penciling the orbits on the ceiling when he finished, I placed the planet stencils on the ceiling and we took turns painting the orbits and planets with the Ready, Set, Glow paint. Applying the paint was really easy, we just popped open the can, mixed and applied. I used a small paint brush to apply the paint to the orbit and smaller planets and stars: I used a small roller to apply paint to the larger planets. We let the first coat of paint dry overnight then added another coat of Ready, Set, Glow paint on the planets and after an additional overnight dry, I added a coat of the All that Glitters paint. We also painted stars, placed decals and added WallPops Peel & Stick mirror art stars to our glow in the dark solar system. The additional room décor includes a Toy Story comforter, and a Boon Inc. Stellar wall mounted Space mobile. "T" is super excited for his "My Magic Room PJ Party" where we have planned a fun menu complete with games, movie, entertainment (Glow in the Dark bubbles!) and a big reveal...so stay tuned!

Ready, Set, Glow! #DisneyPaintMom
My son's bedroom is in desperate need of an update; it has been the same decor since he was a baby...three years ago. The original theme of his nursery/ room was a safari theme (chosen because we did not find out his gender) but he now has very stron opinions as to what the decor should be. I was extremely excited when I was selected by Momtrends for the Glidden and Disney Painting Program and their nationwide "My Magic Room PJ Party".

My first task was to choose a theme based on the new line of speciality Disney Paints exclusively sold at Walmart. After discussing the choices with "T" (my 3 year old) we finally agreed on the Ready, Set, Glow paint and a Buzz Lightyear celestial theme. We talked about creating a galaxy on the wall and ceiling as well as our plans for our reveal party. "T" and I were super excited to start, so we headed to our local Walmart and began shopping. First we headed to the paint section and picked out our paint, brushes and supplies! Next we looked for coordinating accessories and found a Toy Story nightlight, alphabet stencils and some Solar System wall decals. Then we began to shop for our snack menu: Key Lime cake mix & frosting (to make alien cupcakes), Hawaiian Punch Green Berry Rush Fruit Punch (to make alien punch), popcorn (to munch while watching Toy Story). Finally we looked for fun activities and goodies for our guests. We picked up some Glow in the Dark bubbles, spiky light up bouncy balls, Toy Story tops and white shirts w/glow in the dark fabric paint (so everyone can create their own shirt). We are all set and ready to paint, stay tuned for my next post!

Tis the Season to Design with Children Inspire Design!
I was introduced to the awesome brand, Children Inspire Design when I attended the Nursery Trends Event with Momtrends, Project Nursery & MDB Family. There were a few pieces placed in the nursery vignettes and I was instantly drawn to them. I love decorating my little ones room with wall decor and was seraching for some prints that "spoke" to me but didn't break the bank. I fell in love with the "Family Routine" poster because it was so simple yet powerful...I have placed it over my toddler's bed and we "read" it every night!
There is an array of products from prints, wall cards, room collections, digital downloads and one mother to another products (notecards, garlands and mobiles). There is truly something for every decor style!
Children Inspire Design is a product line of modern, eco-friendly and culturally diverse wall art, wall cards and posters, full of whimsy, and designed to help children learn compassion for our earth and all who inhabit it. Artist, mother and social entrepreneur, Rebecca Peragine, has combined her passion for global design with her desire to inspire children to celebrate eco-consciousness and
the beauty of different world cultures.
Environmental education is at the heart of each design. Rebecca believes in embracing every opportunity to recycle and reuse. Children Inspire Design creates art that teaches languages, cultures, and ways to care for our Earth. Nursery Trends with Momtrends, Project Nursery, MDB Family & Bellamy Blue
I love designing and I had my chance to check out current nursery trends, decor, products and be a part of a team to create our own "nursery" at an event hosted by the awesome ladies of Momtrends! There were three nurseries styled by Pamela Ginocchio and Melisa Fuhr of Project Nursery. The vignettes were decorated with a variety of products that included Million Dolar Baby, Babyletto, Nurseryworks, DaVinci, Melissa & Doug, Boon, Ubabub, Children Inspire Design and many more! After a few styling tips, we were broken up into three groups and given the challenge to brainstorm and create a themed nursery look using the blank nursery provided...my team, the Blue Team won with our "Black, White & Read all Over" Design that inorporated black and white furniture and decor with pops of color and tons of books!
