GuruNanda Pulling Oil

I recently heard about pulling oil from a close girlfriend and she had only good things to say about the whole idea. So when I was contacted about sampling and reviewing pulling oil, I was very intrigued to try it out. I received a bottle of GuruNanda pulling oil and immediately checked the ingredients: sesame oil, sunflower oil., coconut oil and peppermint oil. The directions stated: Shake well. Place 1 tbsp. or less in mouth. Gently swish oil in mouth, pushing the oil between teeth for 2 to 3 minutes. It took a few days to get used to having oil in my mouth but after a couple days of this routine, it has become a part of my morning regimen. Pulling oil is typically used to promote overall oral health and hygiene. I have been using the oil for about a week now and am interested to see the results in another week.

Everyone knows that I am not much of a makeup kinda girl...I'm satisfied with a little loose powder, eye shadow, some lip gloss and some mascara if I'm feeling fancy. But, I have been willing to try more beauty products to enrich my current beauty regimen. Expert Haircare with Momtrends, Pantene & Echo Design!I was invited to a Momtrends event sponsored by Pantene Pro-V at the marvelous MPE Penthouse in New York City, to learn all about Pantene's ground-breaking new expert collection. I was sent a few products to try prior to the event and I must admit that I truly enjoyed using them. The shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling silky soft and a bit more manageable.
Dr. Jeni Thomas, Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and P&G’s Beauty and Grooming Principal Scientist was on hand to clarify how and why these amazing Pantene products work! She explained that the expert line products are created to defend hair from the numerous signs of aging (breakage, split ends, frizz, unruly greys, lackluster color and dryness). "Rehab your abs in 30 days" with Bootcamp Tummies by mama mio
So, with two small children in tow, I would love to be in shape...quickly! I have been religiously using mama mio products since my first prgnancy, almost three years ago and I absolutely adore them. I have little, if any time for myself and came across mama mio's Bootcamp for Tummies kit that claims to be "a tummy tuck in a box" in 30 days for just 4 minutes a day, so I decided to order it and try it out.I am also using the Shrink to Fit hip and thigh cream I received it today and I am excited to start tomorrow, May 16, 2012 and document my progress daily through personal logs, measurements and pictures. I feel great and will continue to use the products and do the excercises. I lost 1 1/2" from my waist and 1 1/2" from my hips! That's amazing...just imagine if I did more excercising!

Walking for Heart Health
Jenny Craig Brand Ambassador, Valerie Bertinelli, kicked off the American Heart Association Wall Street Run & Heart Walk on behalf of "Team Jenny" in New York City on Thursday, May 31st. I had the honor to walk with Bertinelli and Team Jenny to raise funds and celebrate progress in the fight against this country's No. 1 and No. 4 killers, heart diseases and stroke. Jenny Craig is a proud National Sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and supports more than 350 walks across the US in 2012.
“Hot in Cleveland” star Bertinelli, who lost 40 pounds* on Jenny Craig in December 2007 and slipped into that famous blue bikini, recognizes the importance of being in good heart health, and owes her mother’s life to Jenny Craig. Back in October, 2008, Bertinelli’s mother Nancy required emergency heart valve replacement surgery. Afterwards, the cardiologist pulled Valerie and her brother Patrick aside and told them that if their mom hadn’t previously lost weight, she wouldn’t have survived. Nancy lost 54 pounds* on Jenny Craig after seeing her daughter Valerie’s success on the program, and got a whole new lease on life.
This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart, as my father passed away last year from heart disease. He too needed heart valve replacement surgery but it was too late when we found out. Although he had started changing his diet and lifestyle the strain was too much. After personally dealing with his loss, I have decided to make a conscious effort to begin practicing a healthier lifestyle which includes a change in diet and exercise that started with participating in my first walk ever! Walking with Team Jenny has given me some resources and tools to utilize to achieve my ultimate goal, which is to be “Heart Healthy”. This experience has encouraged me to get walking on my own and start exercising for myself and more importantly to be around for my boys.
